What attracted you to the construction industry and what do you enjoy most about your job?
Architecture and construction are such fascinating fields, especially when you see how everything comes together, from the initial design to the finished structure. It’s like watching a team of expert designers, engineers, craftsmen, and builders—bring a concept to life. Each trade plays such an important role in shaping how a building functions and feels.
Have you had any mentors throughout your career? If so, who were they and how did they help you in your career.
I've had multiple mentors throughout my career, starting with college teachers to work colleagues. I will always be grateful to Adrian and Chelsea Maldonado, Sandra Bolan, Ian Schechterman, Brian Myers, and Josh Kocsis for being my mentors.
What advice would you give other women that are considering or new to the construction industry?
Building confidence, staying curious, and actively engaging with others in the field can really help to push forward in construction. Having a strong support system and asking questions is key, especially in a field where learning is continuous.
