Project Manager/Estimator
Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility
Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects. Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work, materials required, and general conditions. Collaborate with contractors, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimating purposes. Identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings during the estimating process. Prepare and submit bids to clients in a timely manner. Review submittal drawings to ensure that all specifications and regulations are followed.
Additional Areas of Responsibility
Understand and enforce contract and subcontract agreements, including contract negotiations and change orders. Implement and manage RFI, submittal, and cost control processes. Entering project information including budget into company PME software. Create a schedule of values; compile and submit monthly Owner applications for payment, including review and approval of subcontractor and supplier invoices. Work with the client’s scheduler for initial schedule and project updates. Lead document management for project, including receiving drawings and specifications, providing proper file structure
Other Information/Requirements
• Must be creative and flexible—an excellent problem solver • Excellent communication skills – oral and written. Must display excellent grammar and the ability to clearly communicate with our clients through email, over the phone, and in person. • Superior attention to detail, multi-tasking, and follow up ability. • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
