Kent J. Crytzer, CSP
Kent serves as Director of Safety and leads CEA's Safety Programming as well as the Construction Safety Council. He is one of 12,000 Professionals to Actively Hold the CSP Designation in the United States.
Prior to CEA, Kent worked at The Ruhlin Company where he was a safety specialist. Kent graduated with a degree in Safety and Environmental Management from Slippery Rock University in 2002 and obtained his Certified Safety Professional designation in April of 2009.
Nicolle Gorzki
With over 20 years experience in construction financials, bid negotiations and operations, Nicolle brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her position as Controller for CEA. Aside from her responsibilities as a Controller, she actively contributes to CEA's HR and IT departments.
Prior to joining CEA in 2018, Nicolle held positions in the construction industry, including managing financials and operations for multiple companies divisions across the United States. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Finance which provided a solid foundation for her career. Among many accreditations received in finance and HR field, most notable is she currently holds a Qualifying Agents License for General Contracting in The State of Florida.
In her spare time, Nicolle enjoys spending time with her children and her six beloved cats. She also enjoys working within the IT field and assisting the community with technology needs.
Jackie Ruhlin
Jackie serves as Director of Member Engagement. She supports the CEO in labor relations and is the liaison with various committees and sub-associations. Additionally, she is the liaison with initiatives such as CSU’s CM Program, ACE Mentor Program and various charitable organizations. She also assists in member education and helps promote member engagement for major CEA events and initiatives.
Jackie has over 13 years of experience in the construction industry performing duties as a project engineer, a diversity and inclusion coordinator and most recently a project manager for the Great Lakes Construction Co. She has also been an active member in CEA for the last 8 years and has sat on numerous CEA committees, such as Future Executives and CAA. Jackie graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from Youngstown State University.
Keith Laschinger
Keith is the Director of Workforce Programs with CEA and the Executive Director of Cleveland Builds. He has nearly 25 years of experience in the non-profit sector in the secondary education, resource development, and workforce development.
Keith is a proud resident of the City of Cleveland and graduate cum laude of Ohio University in 1998.
Tim Linville, Esq.
Tim serves as CEO and Association Counsel and oversees CEA's Labor Relations and Legislative Advocacy activities. He also serves as Vice Chair of the City of Cleveland Fannie Lewis Residency Construction Advisory Committee and as Trustee for the Pension, Annuity and Healthcare Plans for Numerous Construction Trades.
Prior to joining CEA in 2010, Tim practiced labor and employment law at Thompson Hine LLP. He received his undergraduate degree cum laude from Wheaton College (IL) in 1999 and his J.D. cum laude from Duke University in 2003.
In July 2019, Tim started the Construction Employers Podcast.
Glen Shumate
Glen serves as Executive Vice President. He is also Executive Director of Contractor Assistance Association and oversees Education, Marketing, Membership, Inclusion and Workforce Programs. He serves on Community Diversity & Inclusion Committees, as well as State & Local Education and Workforce Committees.
Prior to CEA, Glen was President of the Call & Post Newspaper and Vice President of Tourism Development and Marketing for the Greater Cleveland Convention & Visitors Bureau. Glen graduated from the University of Toledo in Business and has continued his business training at Cleveland State University and Case Western Reserve University.
In 2015 Glen was an AAF Cleveland Hall of Fame Inductee.
Sarah Swift
Sarah has served as Office Administrator at CEA since September of 2022. While new to the construction industry, she brings valuable experience from her previous position at Live Nation, a company known for its vibrant and fast-paced environment. Sarah has developed a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
During her free time, she loves spending quality moments in the kitchen with her 3 kids and partner. It brings the family together, fosters creativity, and allows the chance to create delicious memories.
